Blog Video Editor - Make it Easy to Video Blog!
By Paul Turner
Blog video - the newest form of blogging!
There is no doubt that video is taking the web by storm, especially with web 2.0 (I still can't get a clear definition of this, but it basically means people are forming little communities online).
Having used some blog sites that were easy enough, adding video to them was quite difficult or not even an option with some. I use blogging to get traffic to my web sites, and I also use video to -
1- build trust with my viewer
2 - demo products or services
3 - fun!
People will remember far more of what they see and hear together, so if you have a business message video is fast going to become the norm. Be ahead of the game now and have the edge.
To edit your blogs you could try the service I use, which for a small fee actually gives you so many more features that I won't go into here. It transcodes my videos into streaming media and hosts it for me. If I want to edit my video here I use Windows Movie Maker, which makes it very easy to add transitions, merge 2 or more video clips and add text.
Everything is click and drag which is so easy I can use it!
If you are unlucky enough to be using another form blog site and want to add video then you have a much harder job of knowing which video is where and editing it. Again, Windows movie maker would be the preferred choice - it's free and pretty effective.

How to Edit Youtube Video
By Lee Andrew
Watching Youtube video has become an indispensable part of our internet life. With a number of FLV downloading tools emerging, more and more people prefer to download and reedit it in their own style. However, there is no such a software that can deal with FLV editing. What’s the reason? Youtube video is in a FLV format, which is different from other video format, because it is highly compressed. Someone thinks that it is ineditable.
When they want to edit it, they would like to convert it to other video format first, such as AVI or Mpeg, and then convert it back after editing. The preparation for the editing seems like a complex process. What’s more, the key frames lost in the FLV compression will not be reproduced after converted to other less compressed format. The added frames you see in it are just the repeated frames of the compressed FLV. So it is not wise enough to bare such an inconvenience before FLV editing.
Now, things are different, the FLV editing function is available in the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0. However, the Adobe Premiere is not allowed to import FLV directly, so you need a plug-in to help you with FLV import.
The steps will be demonstrated as follows
Firstly, you should import the Youtube video files into Premiere.
Secondly, you can drag them to the timeline for editing, compile a lot of Youtube video files into one, and you can edit the Youtube video files along with other video files.
Thirdly, when all the editing is done, you can choose to export to FLV file and appreciate your fancy Youtube video

Video Editing Tools
By Ricky Hussey
A few years ago, video editing was only stuck to studios and film production houses and required a lot of money to complete the task. But nowadays, due to the availability of easy to use software, digital video editing has now hit the common people and any person can edit a video with just a few mouse clicks. This has been made possible due to the advancements in the field of science and technology that they have produced products like camcorders and computers which are able to run these video editing software. In the past, if a person wanted to make a single video out of a collection of videos, then he had to go to a professional editor who had special tools for editing videos and he would charge huge amounts from him to edit that video.
Nowadays, a person having the right equipment, which is a computer of a good configuration with an appropriate video editing tool, can easily edit any kind of video and make a single video out of a collection within a few minutes without any difficulty. But before that, the key equipment that is needed to create or edit a video is a camcorder. Camcorders are also available in various models in the market. So while buying a camcorder, a person should seek that which model of the camcorder would suit his needs and what features should be contained his camcorder. Particularly, a person should look for the optical stabilization which is an advanced feature that prevents the image from being shaky. This feature is only available in only higher model cameras, so, spending some more money can be very beneficial while buying a camcorder.
Another feature that is very important for editing purpose is a firewire input and output feature. This feature should be available in the camcorder allows faster transferring of data from the camcorder to the computer and hence it takes very less time to transfer bulky videos from the camcorder to the computer. A computer is as important tool as is the camcorder for editing a video. A computer should be of good configuration like 2 gigahertz of processor with 1 gigabytes of RAM, and at least 80 gigabytes of hard disk space so that there is no problem in storing multiple videos at a time. The computer would also require a good graphics card so that the video streams properly in the computer and the editor does not have any problems while editing minute details of the video.

Digital Cameras: Another Kickin' New Feature: Video Capture
By Gabriel J. Adams
Digital cameras have come a long ways in the past few years. They are now more affordable and feature rich than ever. A comprehensive list of features and advice for choosing a digital camera is beyond the scope of this article, but this article will highlight one of the most popular features, video capture capability.
With a video capture feature on your camera, you can take low to medium quality video footage using your digital camera. All cameras with video capture are not created equal, though. Here are some things to check on before buying a camera with video capture:
1 – Sound
Does the camera support sound? If so, does it capture it through a built in microphone, or does it have an input for you to plug in an external microphone?
2- Video Quality
There are two main factors that determine video quality – resolution and frames per second. The higher the resolution, and the higher the number of frames per second, the higher quality the video.
3- Video format
What format is the video in? Ideally, it will be in a standard, easy to edit format, such as MPEG. Some cameras use proprietary video formats, which means that you can't edit your videos with most editors. Windows Movie Maker, which comes free with Windows, is a great editor to use for most generic video formats.
4- Video length
Some cameras limit the length of video clips you can take, often to 30 seconds. This can be a great aggravation. The better cameras allow you to take as long of a video clip as your camera's memory can hold. Of course, you can add a larger memory stick to take a longer video clip. You can now get memory sticks up to 2 GB or larger.
5- Zoom
On most digital cameras, you can use the zoom when taking video footage. However, you can generally only use your optical zoom, not your digital zoom.

Why Can't I Edit My Video?
By Shawn Collins
I took some video with my digital camera and the resulting files were in the AVI format. When I imported them to my video editing tool, I was not able to edit them. Help!
It just so happens that I had the same experience. I finally figured out the problem was that all AVI files are not the same.
Apparently, the video that most current still image cameras shoot is what is called Motion JPEG video. This video is actually a series of still frames added together to create a moving picture. In order for these AVI or MPEG files to open correctly in some video editing programs, you’ll need a third party codec installed.
Some folks at Sony Media Software Customer Support further suggested…
You would need to find a program that is able to open this file that can convert the file to just a regular AVI using the Microsoft AVI codec instead of a DivX MPEG 4 codec or render it to an MPEG 2 file.
If all of this has your head spinning, don’t worry. There is an easier way around the problem.
There are lots of video converter software programs that can fix this for you. I tried the free trials for a half dozen of them and my favorite was the Xilisoft Video Converter.
The Xilisoft Video Converter is fast and easy to use - it enables you to convert a video file to all of the popular video formats, such as AVI to MPEG, WMV to AVI, and WMV to MPEG.
Also, the Xilisoft Video Converter provides an easy way to convert video files to popular audio file formats, like MP3 and a bunch of others. Plus, it supports all of the popular multimedia devices, such as PSP, iPod, MP4 player, mobile phone, Zune, etc.
I typically convert my digital camera files to WMV and the result is great quality that is ready to edit.
